英検準1級2018年度3回(2019年1月実施)ライティング問題より
I think that Japanese companies should hire more foreign workers. I have two reasons to support my view.
The first reason is it costs less. For example, companies can hire foreign workers with a cheaper pay than Japanese employees. Some people might say that not speaking Japanese is a drawback but there are many jobs which employees can do without being proficient in our language.
The second reason is that Japan has been struggling with an aging population. Because of that, companies find it difficult to hire young workers. Although employing people from other countries have some demerits because of the cultural differences, there is no time to say such things because the supply of workers is already short.
For the reasons above, I believe that Japanese companies should employ more foreign workers. (133 words)
【日本語訳】 日本企業はもっと外国人労働者を雇うべきか
日本企業はもっと外国人労働者を雇うべきだと思います。私の見解を支持する理由は2つあります。
最初の理由はそれがより安いことです。たとえば、企業は日本人よりも安い賃金で外国人労働者を雇うことができます。日本語を話せないのは欠点だと言う人もいるかもしれませんが、私たちの言語に堪能でなくても従業員ができる仕事はたくさんあります。
第二の理由は、日本が高齢化に苦しんでいることです。そのため、企業は若年労働者を雇うのが難しいと感じています。他国の人を雇用することは文化の違いからデメリットもありますが、労働者の供給がすでに不足しているため、そのようなことを言う時間はありません。
以上の理由から、日本企業は外国人労働者を増やすべきだと思います。
