Should companies be required to produce goods that are easy to recycle?
2023年第2回英検準1級ライティング問題より
I do not believe that companies should be required to produce goods that are easy to recycle. I have two reasons to support my view.
Firstly, companies uses a lot of money to make products that are easy to recycle. It needs much labor costs. Although companies are required to create eco-friendly items, it will decrease their benefits.
Secondly, the quality of items will decrease. It is said that companies need to reduce the amount of plastic in order to make products easy to recycle. It makes items fragile. Some people may argue that companies should try to make eco-friendly products more but it will not sell well.
For these reasons, in my opinion, companies should not be required to produce goods that are easy to recycle. (127 words)

私は、企業がリサイクルしやすい商品を生産することを義務付けるべきだとは思いません。私の考えを支持する理由は2つあります。
第一に、企業はリサイクルしやすい製品を作るために多くのお金を使ういます。人件費もかかります。企業は環境にやさしい製品を作ることが求められますが、それは企業の利益を減少させます。
第二に、商品の品質が低下します。リサイクルしやすい製品を作るためには、プラスチックの量を減らす必要があると言われているます。壊れやすくなります。もっと環境にやさしい製品を作るべきだという意見もあるでしょうが、それでは売れません。
このような理由から、私の意見としては、企業はリサイクルしやすい製品を作ることを義務づけるべきではないと思います。
