Is it acceptable to keep animals in zoos?
2018年第1回英検準1級ライティング問題より
I believe that it is acceptable to keep animal in zoos. Here are two reasons to support my view.
Firstly, animals do not need to hunt. Workers in zoos feed animals. While animals get stressed by not moving in zoos freely, it will be better for them not to eat.
Secondly, more people will like animals. It will contribute to protecting animals. Some people may argue that some people will not like animals even if they go there but some of them will love the animals more or less.
For these reasons, in my opinion, it is acceptable to keep animals in zoos. (103 words)

動物園で動物を飼うことは許されるのか？
私は、動物園で動物を飼育することは容認できると考えています。私の考えを支持する2つの理由があります。
第一に、動物は狩りをする必要がありません。動物園の従業員は動物に餌を与えます。動物は動物園で自由に動けないことでストレスを感じますが、動物にとっては食べないよりはよいです。
第二に、動物を好きになる人が増えます。動物の保護にも貢献します。動物園に行っても動物が嫌いになる人もいるという意見もあるでしょうが、多かれ少なかれ動物が好きになる人もいるでしょう。
以上の理由から、私は動物園で動物を飼育することは容認できると考えています。
