2021年第1回英検準1級ライティング問題より

     Firstly, big companies provide useful products and services. For instance, some companies like Amazon or Google have been creating systems that enable consumers to access products, and information from the comfort of their smartphones. While the elderly may not be able to utilize them, these systems have become more user-friendly and easier to use over time. 

     Secondly, many big companies develop policies and practices that focus on protecting the environment. For example, some ban the use of plastic straws in their workspaces as a way of preserving the environment. While critics argue that such practices are geared towards improving corporate or brand image, the fact remains that they still have a positive impact on the world. 

     For these reasons, in my opinion, big companies have a positive effect on society. (149 words)

賛成か反対か：大企業は社会に良い影響を与えている。

　私は、大企業は社会に良い影響を与えていると思います。以下は、私の見解を実証する2つの理由です。

　第一に、大企業は有用な製品やサービスを提供しています。例えば、アマゾンやグーグルのような企業は、消費者がスマートフォンで商品や情報にアクセスできるシステムを構築しています。高齢者は利用できないかもしれないが、こうしたシステムは時代とともに使いやすくなっています。

　第二に、多くの大企業が環境保護に重点を置いた方針や慣行を打ち出しています。例えば、環境保護の一環として、仕事場でのプラスチック製ストローの使用を禁止しているところもあります。このような慣行は企業イメージやブランドイメージを向上させるためのものだと批判的な意見もありますが、それでも世界にプラスの影響を与えていることに変わりはないです。

　こうした理由から、大企業は社会にプラスの影響を与えていると私は考えています。
