Agree or disagree: More needs to be done to improve public safety
2022年第2回英検準1級ライティング問題より
I believe that more needs to be done to improve public society. Below are two reasons to support my view.
Firstly, many crimes exist in the world. For instance, a gun crime happened at a shopping mall. While some people argue that some accidents should be acceptable to some extent, humans' lives should be the top priority.
Secondly, improving the situation of accidents or crimes will make countries richer. For example, safety in Japan is one of the most popular factors. Of course, some people may argue that investing money in other fields like welfare, education, and so on in safer countries will attract people from other countries. However, safety will attract more countries and get more know-how and develop more.
For these reasons above, in my opinion, more should be done to improve public society. (136 words)

私は、公共の安全性を改善するためにもっと多くのことを行う必要があると考えています。以下は、私の考えを支持する2つの理由です。
第一に、世の中には多くの犯罪が存在します。例えば、ショッピングモールで起きた銃犯罪があります。ある程度の事故は許容されるべきだという意見もありますが、人命が最優先されるべきです。
第二に、事故や犯罪の状況を改善することは、国を豊かにします。例えば、日本では安全性が重視されています。もちろん、安全な国に福祉や教育など他の分野に資金を投入すれば、他国から人が集まるという意見もあるでしょう。しかし、安全であれば、より多くの国から人が集まり、より多くのノウハウを得ることができ、より発展することができます。
以上のような理由から、私は公共の安全をより良くするためにもっと努力すべきだと思います。
