Should people stop using goods that are made from animals?


     I do not agree with the idea that people should stop using things made from animals. I have two reasons for this.
     First, things made from animals are better quality. For example, clothes made from animal materials are warmer, last longer, and do not tear easily. There are other materials we can use, but they are not as good as animal products.
     Second, animals are important for keeping traditions alive. For example, snake skin is used to make the Okinawan shamisen, a musical instrument. Without snake skin, people could not make this instrument, and the tradition would end. Some people say using animal products is bad because it means killing animals. But I think it is okay if we use parts from animals that are already dead.
     For these reasons, I think we should not stop using things made from animals. (126 words)

動物で作られたものを使うのをやめるべきか？

　私は、動物で作られたものを使うのをやめるべきだという考えに賛成できません。これには2つの理由があります。
　まず、動物で作られたものは品質が良いです。例えば、動物の素材で作られた服は、もっと暖かく、長持ちし、簡単には破れません。他の素材も使えますが、動物の製品ほど良くありません。
　次に、動物は伝統を守るのに重要です。例えば、沖縄の三線という楽器を作るのにヘビの皮が使われます。ヘビの皮がなければ、この楽器を作ることができず、伝統がなくなってしまいます。動物製品を使うことは動物を殺すことだと言う人もいます。しかし、すでに死んだ動物の部位を使うのであれば問題ないと思います。
　これらの理由から、私は動物で作られたものを使うのをやめるべきではないと思います。
