Do you think that Japanese companies need to improve their treatment of female workers?
(2016年度第2回英検準1級ライティング問題より)

     I think that Japanese companies need to improve their welfare for female employees. 
     The first reason is that it is difficult for women to take days off to care for their children. For example, companies and supervisors tend to dislike when women take a day off for child care. Some say that the couple should share parenting rights but it is still uncommon in Japanese society. 
     The second reason is that it is necessary for the success of companies. For instance, they can get a good reputation and lift their status because they value women. Therefore, you would get excellent female employees. Some people might say that there is no connection between companies' success and women employees but women could bring good ideas to the companies. This will contribute to making better products. 
     For the reasons above, I agree that Japanese companies need to improve their treatment of women employees. (150 words)

日本企業は女性社員の福利厚生を改善する必要があると思いますか？

　日本企業は女性社員の福利厚生を改善する必要があると思います。
　第一の理由は、女性が子どもの世話をするために休日をとることが難しいということです。たとえば、企業や上司は、女性が育児のために休日をとるのを嫌う傾向があります。夫婦は子育ての権利を共有すべきだと言う人もいますが、それは日本社会ではまだ珍しいことです。
　第二の理由は、企業の成功のために必要であるということです。たとえば、女性を大切にしているので、評判が良く、ステータスを上げることができます。したがって、優秀な女性社員を獲得できます。企業の成功と女性社員との間に関係はないと言う人もいるかもしれませんが、女性は企業に良いアイデアをもたらすことができます。これは、より良い製品の製造に貢献します。
　以上の理由から、日本企業は女性社員の扱いを改善する必要があることに同意します。
