Agree or disagree: High school education in Japan needs to be improved.
英検準1級2019年度2回(2019年10月実施)ライティング問題より


     I agree with the idea that high schools in Japan should be improved. I have two reasons to support my view. 
     The first reason is that current high school education has not met the demand of globalization. As a matter of fact, because of the development of globalization, people who can speak not only Japanese but also other languages such as English or Chinese are needed. However, education in Japan can hardly raise multilingual people. In fact, it is said that visiting Japan is inconvenient for people outside of Japan. 
     The second reason is that the pressure on students is too strong. Many students have to do much homework and club activities. It creates a stressful environment. Although these contribute to their studies or health, doing too much is not effective. 
     For the reasons above, I think that high school education in Japan should be improved. (146 words)

日本の高校は改善されるべきだという考えに同意しますか？

　日本の高校は改善されるべきだという考えに同意します。私の見解を支持する理由は2つあります。
　第一の理由は、現在の高校教育がグローバル化の需要に応えていないことです。実は、グローバル化の進展により、日本語だけでなく、英語や中国語など他の言語も話せる人材が求められています。しかし、日本の教育は多言語の人々を育てるのは難しいです。実際、日本を訪れることは海外の人にとっては不便だと言われています。
　第二の理由は、学生へのプレッシャーが強すぎることです。多くの学生は多くの宿題やクラブ活動をしなければなりません。それはストレスの多い環境を作り出します。これらは彼らの勉強や健康に貢献しますが、やりすぎることは効果的ではありません。
　以上の理由から、日本の高校教育は改善されるべきだと思います。
