Should people trust information on the internet?
2022年第2回英検準1級ライティング問題より

     I do not think people should trust information on the internet. I have two reasons to support my view.
     Firstly, too much information is on the Internet. Wasteful information like gossip exists on the internet, which can be a waste of time for many people. Granted, you can avoid reading or watching it, but the titles of articles attract you, so it will be hard.
     Secondly, information on the internet requires you to judge if it is true or not. Celebrities or experts often give their opinions, but the information is sometimes wrong. People can check if the information on the internet is true or not by using government sites, but not many do that.
     For these reasons, in my opinion, people should not trust the information on the internet. (130 words)

人はインターネットの情報を信用すべきなのか？

　私は、人々がインターネット上の情報を信用すべきではないと考えています。私の考えを支持する理由は2つあります。
第一に、インターネット上にはあまりにも多くの情報が存在します。ゴシップのような無駄な情報がインターネット上に存在し、多くの人にとって時間の無駄となります。もちろん、読んだり見たりしないようにすることはできますが、記事のタイトルに惹かれるので、それは難しいでしょう。
　次に、インターネット上の情報は、それが真実かどうかを判断する必要があります。有名人や専門家が意見を言うことが多いのですが、その情報が間違っていることもあります。ネット上の情報が本当かどうかは、政府のサイトなどを利用することで確認できますが、それをする人はあまりいません。
　このような理由から、私は、インターネット上の情報は信用しないほうがいいと思います。
