Japanese local governments need to grow the population in their areas.
I think this is important because they know their regions well and can use local information to improve it. While some say companies are better at projects, they focus more on making money rather than increasing the population.
Also, local governments generate a lot of money from taxes, so they should invest in things to attract people to their cities. Even though local governments sometimes waste taxes, citizens can elect right people to lead them.
So, I believe it is important for Japanese local governments to increase the population in their regions. (103 words)

日本の地方自治体にとって、地域の人口を増やすことは重要である。
日本の地方自治体は、地域の人口を増やす必要があります。
