I disagree that Japan should become a completely cashless society. I have two reasons to support my view.
The first reason is that a cashless society makes crimes easier. For example, payments through cashcard or apps have the risk of the owner’s password getting stolen by others. Some people might say that cash can also be robbed, but the risk is lower compared to cashcards or apps.
The second reason is that becoming a completely cashless society has adverse effects on consumers. For instance, some consumers might spend without limit by using cashless money. Although using cashcards or apps are more convenient than using cash in many aspects, cash allows you to have better control in spending money.
For the reasons above, I am against the idea that Japan should become a completely cashless society. (135 words)
【日本語訳】 日本が完全にキャッシュレス社会になるべきか
日本が完全にキャッシュレス社会になるべきだということに同意しません。私の見解を支持する理由は2つあります。
第一の理由は、キャッシュレス社会は犯罪を容易にするということです。たとえば、キャッシュカードやアプリを介した支払いには、所有者のパスワードが他人に盗まれるリスクがあります。現金も奪われる可能性があると言う人もいるかもしれませんが、キャッシュカードやアプリに比べてリスクは低くなります。
第二の理由は、完全にキャッシュレスな社会になることは消費者に悪影響を与えるということです。たとえば、一部の消費者はキャッシュレスのお金を使って無制限に使うかもしれません。多くの点で現金を使用するよりも現金カードやアプリを使用する方が便利ですが、現金を使用すると、お金の使い方をより適切に管理できます。
以上の理由から、日本は完全にキャッシュレス社会になるべきだという考えには反対です。
